Hi, I am a machine learning engineer at G-Research in London. Previously, I obtained an MSc in Statistics at ETH Zurich, another MSc in Mathematical and Computing Science at Tokyo Institute of Technology, and a BEng in Systems Innovation at the University of Tokyo.

My passion lies in machine learning in general. I particularly enjoy creating (and improving) machine learning algorithms by leveraging the underlying structures of the problems for optimally extracting information from data. Especially, keywords that excite me include data-driven decision, sample efficiency, and more recently, foundation models. Though my educational background is on the theoretical side, my current interest has shifted towards a more applied side.

On my days off, I enjoy heading outdoors for a run. While I once participated in marathon and triathlon races, I’ve transitioned to running as a hobby due to my busy schedule. From time to time, I also revisit hobbies from my past, such as cycling, hiking, swimming, tennis, and bouldering.
